Rajasthan Cultural Tour

Day 01 : Delhi – Jaipur (approx 270 Kms/5 Hrs)
Pick-up from Delhi & leave for Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur, check-in to the hotel. Late afternoon tour of Amber Fort you can enjoy the Elephant ride(at your own). Amber is located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur and was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber, which used to be the capital till it was moved to Jaipur. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, so as to illuminate the entire room. Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 02 : Sightseeing of Jaipur
After breakfast leave for City tour of Jaipur – Among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets. Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 03 : Jaipur – Mandawa (approx 170 Kms/3-4 Hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival check into Hotel Castle Mandawa. Afternoon tour of Mandawa, which lies in the heart of Shekhawati. A painted arched gateway, adorned with illustrations of Lord Krishna and his cows, leads to the Bazaar. You can wander through the streets where mansions of rich merchants are adorned with elaborate frescoes. Overnight at the Mandawa.

Day 04 : Mandawa – Bikaner (approx 200 Kms/3-4 Hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Bikaner. Upon arrival, check in to Hotel. Afternoon you will visit the Junagarh Fort, a fine example of 16th century architecture surrounded by many palaces with carved marble balconies inlaid with mirror and lacquer work. Also visit the Camel breeding farm, the first of its kind in the whole of Asia and Devi Kund, the site of royal cenotaphs. Overnight at Bikaner.

Day 05 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer (approx 330 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to the desert city of Jaisalmer, a perfect example of a walled city, en route visiting Pokaran, the 14th century Fort Pokaran (previously known as Balagarh) citadel of the mighty Rajput nobles of Marwar. Continue to Jaisalmer. On arrival check in to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Jaisalmer.

Day 06 : Jaisalmer
Morning after breakfast walk up to the fort which was built in 1156 and is one of the oldest forts in Rajasthan. You then have an opportunity to explore the city, which has some spectacular “havelis” (mansions). Afternoon drive to Sam Sand Dunes to watch the sun set over the city, which turns a deep golden colour as the sun sinks. Take a short camel ride(at your own) on the sand dunes. It can be an unforgettable experience. Overnight at Jaisalmer.

Day 07 : Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (approx 295 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast to Jodhpur. The city was once the capital of the princely state of Marwar (Land of death). Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. Jodhpur is also known as the blue city as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue. The old city is surrounded by a huge 10 km long wall which has 101 bastions and seven gates. Jodhpur lies on the once strategic Delhi-Gujrat trading route and the marwaris benefited from the passing traffic of opium, copper, silk which was traded to China. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Late afternoon visit the Mehrangarh Fort(majestic fort). Mehrangarh Fort was built on a steep hill and is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential apartments within. We also visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. After the sightseeing we have a walk through the Bazaars of Jodhpur. Overnight at Jodhpur.

Day 08 : Jodhpur – Udaipur (approx 270 Kms/5-6 Hrs)
After breakfast leave for Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur check-in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Udaipur, stopping first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies and the PeacockCourtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the local folk Museum. Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 09 : Full day Eklingji & Nagda Temple Tour
After Breakfast leave for full day Eklingji & Nagda Temple tour. Evening enjoy the boat ride at Lake Pichola (at your own). Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 10 : Udaipur – Jaipur (approx 405 Kms/8-9 Hrs)
After breakfast leave for Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur check-in to the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 11 : Jaipur – Delhi (approx 270 Kms/5 Hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel then leave for Delhi, arrive Delhi & drop at airport/station for onward journey.
